SEMANA DOMINICANA DE CIENCIA Y TECNOLOGÍA

El Ministerio de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología (MESCYT) tiene el honor de invitarle a participar en la Semana Dominicana de Ciencia y Tecnología, que se realiza con la finalidad de reunir a miembros de la comunidad científica de todo el mundo a interactuar mediante talleres, cursos, simposios, paneles y presentaciones orales y carteles, para difundir saberes producto de resultados de investigación científica y experiencia en cualquier disciplina del conocimiento que permitan motorizar el desarrollo de la ciencia y la tecnología, además de que abra las puertas para la colaboración y la diplomacia científica. Esta Semana tiene como evento más importante el XIX Congreso Internacional de Investigación Científica (XIX CIC).

El XIX CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL DE INVESTIGACIÓN CIENTÍFICA (XIX CIC) se celebrará en República Dominicana, del 11 al 13 de junio de 2024 con conferencias magistrales y especiales, ponencias concurrentes, exhibición de carteles, así como cursos, seminarios y talleres en modalidad presencial, virtual y mixta. Las localidades del congreso serán anunciadas en las próximas semanas.

En este XIX CIC, se pueden someter resúmenes de resultados de investigación en ciencias básicas (matemática, física, química, biología), medioambiente y recursos naturales, calentamiento global y cambio climático, ciencias de la computación (incluyendo inteligencia artificial, aprendizaje de máquina, aprendizaje profundo y ciencia de datos), modelación estadística, tecnología, ciencias agroalimentarias, fronteras científico-tecnológicas, salud y biomedicina, ciencias sociales (incluyendo sociología, antropología, economía y demás áreas afines), ingeniería y tecnología aplicada (incluyendo ingeniería civil, ingeniería eléctrica, ingeniería mecánica, ingeniería aeroespacial y áreas afines), artes y humanidades digitales (incluyendo estudios literarios, historia del arte, música y sonido, cine y medios digitales, cultura digital y áreas afines), ciencias humanística (incluyendo pedagogía, educación, educación superior, psicología, lingüística y áreas afines), ingeniería de alimentos, innocuidad alimentaria, nutrición y dietética, salud única o salud planetaria, tecnología e innovación, veterinaria, botánica, geología, bioquímica, microbiología, epidemiología, farmacología.

1. Envió de propuestas Simposios, Cursos, Talleres y Paneles

Propuestas de cursos, talleres, seminarios, simposios, paneles deben someterse en un texto de una página que incluya un párrafo introductorio, objetivos de la actividad, público meta, responsable (con afiliación y correo electrónico). Informar si se pretende publicar las presentaciones en un número especial de una revista científica especializada, o en un libro memoria del simposio.

Las propuestas de eventos serán aceptadas hasta el día 30 de marzo 2024.

2. Envío de resúmenes para presentaciones orales

· El resumen debe estar estructurado de acuerdo con el formulario de la plataforma de envió de trabajos.

· Se debe indicar claramente el título del resumen, los autores y sus afiliaciones institucionales.

· El resumen debe contener una introducción breve, los objetivos del estudio, la metodología utilizada, los resultados obtenidos y las conclusiones más relevantes.

· La extensión del resumen debe no debe ser mayor a 450 palabras.

· Los resúmenes pueden ser enviados en español o inglés.

Los resúmenes serán aceptados hasta el día 30 de marzo 2024.

3. Envió de resúmenes de carteles

· El cartel debe incluir título, autores y afiliaciones institucionales claramente visibles en la parte superior.

· Se debe proporcionar una introducción concisa que establezca el contexto y los objetivos del estudio.

· Debe incluir secciones claramente etiquetadas, como introducción, metodología, resultados y conclusiones.

· Se puede agregar material gráfico, como tablas, gráficos e imágenes, para ilustrar los hallazgos de manera efectiva.

Los resúmenes para carteles serán aceptados hasta el día 30 de marzo 2024.

Se notificará el estatus de su propuesta a más tardar el 15 de mayo de 2023.

DOMINICAN WEEK OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

June 10-16, 2024

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (MESCYT) has the honor of inviting you to participate in the Dominican Week of Science and Technology, which is held to bring together members of the scientific community from around the world to interact through workshops, courses, symposiums, panels and oral presentations and posters, to disseminate knowledge resulting from scientific research results and experience in any discipline of knowledge that allows driving the development of science and technology, in addition to opening the doors for collaboration and scientific diplomacy. This Week's most important event is the XIX International Congress of Scientific Research (XIX CIC).

The XIX INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH (XIX CIC) will be held in the Dominican Republic from June 11 to 13, 2024. It will include keynote and special conferences, concurrent presentations, an exhibition of posters, and courses, seminars, and workshops in person, virtual, and mixed. The conference locations will be announced in the coming weeks.

Abstracts sent through the XIX CIC platform, written in Spanish and English, will be accepted by completing the form on the event's official page at https://www.even3.com/e/XIXCIC2024.

In this XIX CIC, summaries of research results in basic sciences (Mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology), environment and natural resources, global warming and climate change, computer sciences (including artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning and data science), statistical modeling, technology, agri-food sciences, scientific-technological frontiers, health and biomedicine, social sciences (including sociology, anthropology, economics and other related areas), engineering and applied technology (including civil engineering, engineering electrical, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering and related fields), digital arts and humanities (including literary studies, art history, music and sound, film and digital media, digital culture and related fields), humanistic sciences (including pedagogy, education, education higher education, psychology, linguistics and related areas), food engineering, food safety, nutrition and dietetics, unique health or planetary health, technology and innovation, veterinary medicine, botany, geology, biochemistry, microbiology, epidemiology, pharmacology.

1. Sending proposals for Symposia, Courses, Workshops and Panels

Proposals for courses, workshops, seminars, symposiums, and panels must be submitted in a one-page text that includes an introductory paragraph, objectives of the activity, target audience, and person responsible (with affiliation and email). Also, indicate whether you intend to publish the presentations in a special issue of a specialized scientific journal or in a symposium memory book.

Event proposals will be accepted until March 30, 2024.

2. Submission of summaries for oral presentations

· The form of the work submission platform must structure the summary.

· The title of the abstract, the authors, and their institutional affiliations must be indicated.

· The summary must contain a brief introduction, the study's objectives, the methodology used, the results obtained, and the most relevant conclusions.

· The length of the summary should not exceed 450 words.

· Abstracts can be sent in Spanish or English.

Abstracts will be accepted until March 30, 2024.

Submission of poster abstracts

· The poster must include the title, authors, and institutional affiliations visible at the top.

· A concise introduction should be provided that establishes the context and objectives of the study.

· Should include clearly labeled sections, such as introduction, methodology, results, and conclusions.

· Artwork, such as tables, graphs, and images, can be added to illustrate findings effectively.

Abstracts for posters will be accepted until March 30, 2024.

The status of your proposal will be notified by May 15, 2023.
